About Us

Lake City Elite is an elite basketball program which is designed to identify the top student athletes, boys & girls ages 12-18 years old in Southwest Louisiana and surrounding areas. Lake City Elite is dedicated to providing the very best training, competition and environment for young student athletes who have a desire to be the best. Lake City Elite was founded by President/Director Devin Collins in 2012. Lake City Elite is a Level 3 501c3 Tax Exempt Non-Profit Basketball Organization under the Amateur Athletic Union. In 2012 Lake City Elite had 1 team, and now has over 6 boy teams from 6th grade-12th grade and continues to expand looking to add a girls basketball program soon.

Lake City Elite AAU Basketball Team is based out of Lake Charles, Louisiana and consists of some of the top student athletes of South West Louisiana and surrounding states. Over the past few years we have been a local travel basketball team that travels to different states giving the upcoming student athletes of Southwest Louisiana the opportunity to see the world and broadcast their amazing talents amongst some of the top talent across the world. In addition to our top notch basketball program, Lake City Elite operates a mentoring program designed to help student athletes with academics, teach life skills through the game of basketball, enhance leadership qualities and encourage community service.

Our Mission

The organization’s mission is to promote positive growth through god, academic excellence, and sports to instill the necessary life skills amongst the upcoming student athletes of South West Louisiana and surrounding areas to become successful in life. Many of our student athletes come from broken or underprivileged homes that do not have the extra finances or father figures there to help guide them down the right path to become successful. The Lake City Elite consist of many officials that have firsthand experience growing up in the exact situations some of these students face so we understand their struggle and provide them all the necessities they seek out to help lead them down the right path of success.

Our goal is to make to do all we can to give our student athletes the best opportunity to receive a college academic/athletic scholarship to further their education post high school to obtain a college degree and be on track to become a successful citizen. Lake City Elite coaching staff takes great pride in working with our student athletes to strengthen skills and teach the fundamentals of Sports. Lake City Elite Basketball programs are community based and are designed for student athletes that want to maximize their full potential to become the best student athlete they can possibly become.
